Childrens Activities At Beaches Resorts
Kids Kamp -- Baby to Teen
Infants to Age 2: You can always expect the best for your baby at a Beaches Resort. Nurseries are luxurious, climate controlled, filled with cribs, strollers, high chairs, rocking chairs - everything your baby wants or needs from 9 AM to 6 PM on the days you choose. Fun activities: Cooing, coddling, rocking, smiling, eating, and more.
Toddlers and Young Children (2-5 years): This age group has their very own set of supervised activities at all Beaches Resorts where they can burn off excess energy and have fun playtime. Activities include visiting the toddler pool, petting zoo, shell collecting, face painting, treasure hunts, puppets, costume time, magic shows, sand castle building and more.
Kids Aged 6 and 7: Beaches Resorts Kids Kamp supervised activities are sure to please this group with sand castle building, baseball, kickball, swimming, arts and crafts, nature walks, glass bottom boat rides, movies, dancing -- all planned with this age group in mind.
Pre-Teens (8 - 12 Years): Not really ready for little kids play but not ready for grown up activities -- this group needs special activities to appeal to their sense of being "almost grown". The supervised activities this group will enjoy are sailing, snorkeling, swimming, beach volleyball, beach soccer, scavenger hunts, glass bottom boat rides, reggae jam sessions and more.
Teens: This group many times resists organized, supervised activities -- but at a Beaches Resort, they'll beg to be included. They have their own special places and spaces from pizza bars to soda bars, a nightclub, karaoke, dance parties, talent shows, group water sports, boat cruises, pool olympics, and tennis.
All age group kid activities are planned and supervised by Ultra nannies -- child development specialists who have been trained and certified with an accredited USA university.
The Ultra Nanny program also is available on an individual basis after Kids Kamp hours. In Jamaica the cost is $8 an hour up to 11 PM and $10 an hour after. In Turks & Caicos, the cost is $12 an hour. After 11 PM, there is an addition fee of $20 for taxi for the nanny. Rates are for 2 children. If there are 3 or more children, additional nannies will be required.

Sesame Street Joins Beaches Resorts: Everyday kids get to spend time with their favorite Sesame Street Characters.
- Stage Shows: All the Sesame Street characters in a live stage performance guaranteed to please.
- Story Time With Elmo: A master storyteller weaves an exciting Caribbean or Sesame Street tale, followed by an appearance by Elmo who spends time with the children.
- Bake With Cookie Monster: Kids mix up cookie batter to be baked by the kitchen staff. Cookie Monster stops by to enjoy the freshly baked cookies with the kids.
- Dance With Zoe: Kids learn ring games, line dancing and ribbon dancing. Zoe stops by to check out the progress.
- Make Music With Bert & Ernie: Children love music and their musical talents will surface during this activity. Bert & Ernie visit the kids for fun and dancing.
- Explore With Grover: The kids will have fun on a nature walk or scavenger hunt. They may learn to use recycled materials to make beautiful art pieces. Grover stops by to see what's going on.
- Character Breakfast: At a special breakfast the kids interact with Elmo and friends. There is an extra charge for this activity.
- Sundays At The Movies: Just before the matinee, a Sesame Street character appears with a sundae-making kiosk, snacks, and beverages.
- Character Parades: Kids get to participate in a parade that includes music, clowns, costumes, and Sesame Street characters.
- Themed Birthday Parties: Wish your child a "happy birthday" in a very special way. Sesame Street characters attend the festivities which include coke, cookies, snacks, and party favors.
How About Big Kids at Beaches Resorts?
They get to snorkel, Scuba dive, sail, canoe/kayak, windsurf, play on the Aqua Trampoline, visit the fitness center or spa, golf, play croquet / basketball / horseshoes / tennis / racquetball / beach volleyball / billiards / darts / Bocci ball / shuffleboard / lawn chess / table tennis / squash / take a banana boat ride and more.
