Los Cabos / Cabo San Lucas is located on the Baja Pennisula. It is a nature-lover's and sportsman's paradise with its magnificant scenery, excellent snorkeling and diving, windsurfing, sports fishing, golf, whale watching (in the winter months), and hiking. Scuba divers love Cabo Pulmo, a beautiful coral reef in a submarine national park and Cascades of Sand formation linked to the San Andreas fault. Bird lovers include a visit to the San Jose Estuary, a nature reserve for birds when they are Los Cabos. El Arco has been made famous in many photos. It is a series of rocks at the junction between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. It is an area teaming with sea life, including sea lions. The best swimming beaches are Medano Beach and Playa del Amor with their calm water. Sights of historical interest include the San Jose Mission, built in 1730 by the Jesuits. If you are fortunate to be in Los Cabos in March you will be treated to the Feast of San Jose with dancing and an enormous craft fair. Nightlife is varied and mostly found north of the Marina.
